I focus on stories big and small about communities by the ocean or in the mountains — or both.
Currently based on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, I’ve worked on the East and West Coasts of Canada to report the news for a variety of media organizations. When I’m not chasing stories, I can often be found hiking or paddling or reading.

In 2023, I went back to school at the University of King’s College in pursuit of my MFA in Creative Nonfiction.
